  I will never buy another appliance from them again. The money I saved on the appliance sale does not make up for the bad experience I had with their installation fiasco. I ordered a dishwasher online to replace my existing one. I signed up for delivery and installation, including an installation parts kit. It could not be a bigger mistake. I called the store 2 days in advance of the scheduled date and was told the online installations were outsourced to GE. Since GE is a major appliance maker I expected a GE technician in a GE truck would come up and get the job done. Instead 2 guys showed up in a Penske rental truck, one of whom did not speak English. The other one immediately informed me that they could not do the installation because the sink did not have an air gap and their company (which was not disclosed and not GE) would not let them install the air gap, an inexpensive part. They took the dishwasher out of the box and left it in the house. I subsequently hired an excellent local plumber who came out a few days later and got the job done. The licensed plumber said that an air gap is only necessary in new construction, so it wasn't necessary in a 40 year old house. I suspect the Home Depot delivery drivers took one look at the old dishwasher and decided it would take them longer than they had allotted, so they made up an excuse and took off. At the very least they did not appear qualified to install anything and obviously not up to the task. I would give Home Depot a zero review if I could. I recommend that you buy your appliances from a local store that knows what they are doing when it comes to installing them.
